Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will be offering a five-day virtual ALE3D training class!

ALE3D is an arbitrary Lagrangian/Eulerian finite element code developed at LLNL for simulating a wide range of applications where  several different physical phenomenon are closely coupled. This introductory class will cover the basics of running the code and describe some of the theory behind its various physics modules. There will be a mix of lecture and hands-on training during the five days. The target audience is those who have performed  some computational modeling. Some experience running ALE3D is helpful,  but not required.

No Foreign Nationals, please. 

A current ALE3D Use Agreement must be in place for all off-site users. If you do not have an agreement in place, you must contact  ale3d-help@llnl.gov a minimum of 4 weeks before the start of class. 

Version 4.46 of the ALE3D code must be installed on your work computer.
